Robin & Saylor Johnsen

Its taken some time but I think I've found my love. Now lets not misunderstand..I LOVE ALL FIELDS OF PHOTOGRAPHY...but recently I've found a special love for maternity and family photos. I had the honor of photographing Robin's first pregnancy pictures today. Robin has a natural beauty and confidence that I don't see in many people. She loves to laugh and can't stand to be the same. It was only appropriate that, for her shoot we paint (...yes paint) her belly. I hope you enjoy these even half as much as I do. Robin..thank you for the opportunity to love you through my work.

Isabella Arrendale

So, as you know, this year has been a year of firsts for me. Today, I did my first infant shoot. Infants have a mind of their own when it comes to being photographed. Some will look at you and respond to anything you put in front of them and others do and think in their own world. Isabella is a beautiful six-month-old baby girl. She has a hundred expressions. Spending the day with her and Holly (her mother) was great. We hung out through lunch and nap time. I am honored to have been asked to capture even a snip-it of "Bella's" vibrant personality.

Robby & Briana Wildes Wedding

Today is November 7th, 2009. I just got back from shooting Robby and Briana Wildes' wedding in Newnan, Ga. Originally set to be a small exchanging of vows at the courthouse, their wedding turned out 100+ guests. Congratulations to the bride and groom!

Cupcake Photo Shoot

I LOVE WHAT I DO. Yesterday was a monumental day. Why, you may ask....because yesterday was the first time EVER that I planned a shoot with a hair and make-up artist. Robin and I sat last night, after eight hours of focused creativity, reflecting over the ways the Lord worked in and through our shoot...all the way from one of our models canceling late the night before to Devan (Robin's X) bringing his sister, as a model last minute, and staying the entire day. We used models who's beauty wasn't just skin deep. The atmosphere was incredible and everyone was SO patient. I wanna send a HUGE thanks out to all the girls who participated yesterday. Y'all are AWESOME! I guess you're probably wondering what this shoot was for....surely we didn't pull a shoot like this together just for the heck of it....right? Right, Robin and I decided that, together, we're unstopable and because of this we are having an art show to prove it. In late early April, we are planning to serve cupcakes and coffee and invite you to our show. These pictures will be blown up and put on display for your viewing pleasure. Thanks for all your support!

{No pictures...if I showed you here, you wouldn't have any reason to come to my show.}

Heidi & Michael Engaged!!

April 24th, 2010; That's the day Heidi Labiche & Michael Knoblett are tying the knot. I met Heidi a couple years ago at church. She is known as a person who can have fun doing ANYTHING. She has a heart for the Lord and doesn't have a problem keeping her priorities in order. I have been blessed with her friendship for a couple years now. She's been there for my most heart felt tears (crying and laughing). Heidi and Michael just so happen to have met on Myspace. I remember her being SO excited about this boy she'd met. When she told me she met him on Myspace, my jaw hit the ground (come on, what relationship have you actually heard of that winds up in marriage from there?!). She told me he didn't know Christ and was in fact an atheist. I listened to her description of him (hearing the excitement in her voice) but, unfortunately, because of Michael's beliefs of God or lack there of, I became one of the many people who had to tell her she was unequally yoked. Despite all, she told me "it just feels right"..."I feel like I can lead him to the Lord". "I know I am going to marry him." Low and behold, SHE DID! Because of her patience and love, Michael sought after his own understanding of God. On August 2nd (just two weeks ago), Michael Knoblett, the boy Heidi met and fell in love with on Myspace, was baptized. Though, I haven't spent much time with him, I know Michael truly loves Heidi and will take good care her. These pictures capture the love that they have in a very special way. Heidi and Michael, I lift my glass to you. It is my prayer that you will live a long and fulfilling life together. Don't run away from the hard times; instead, turn and face the giant. Will and I love both of you dearly!
